Hello. I’m a freelance journalist, content creator and copywriter mostly covering current affairs, mental and physical health, personal finance, lifestyle and more.

As a digital journalist and writer for over 10 years, I have significant experience in writing for online audiences and working in fast-paced environments. I began my career as a staff journalist (at The Guardian and Refinery29 UK), before freelancing for several years for both editorial and commercial clients. Most recently, I’ve led content in house at fintech companies (Monzo and a financial wellbeing app).

I was the senior news and feature writer at Refinery29 UK for three years between 2016 and 2019. I wrote in-depth reported features and news stories on issues ranging from violence against women and the impact of gentrification on working class communities, to the UK’s opioid epidemic and “vaginal rejuvenation” procedures.

Before this, I worked at the Guardian for two years, where I covered student life, education and issues affecting young people. I also commissioned articles, sub-edited copy, nurtured an online community and worked closely with brand sponsors.

In 2013 I won the Guardian’s Scott Trust bursary to study for an MA in Newspaper Journalism at City University London. That same year I graduated with a first-class degree in Politics, Psychology and Sociology (PPS) from the University of Cambridge.
